The Fart Hero has no ads. Optional purchases use the App Store; leaderboards and score comparisons use Apple’s Game Center.

About the project.

The Fart Hero is developed by Thales Schmalz Toniolo under the LostLevel name, an independent Brazilian project. This policy describes the iOS version, with in-app purchases, leaderboards and score comparisons through Game Center.

Data on your device.

The game saves coins, unlocked heroes and visual effects, selections, best distance, and music and sound preferences on your device. This data keeps your progress between runs. Game Center stores scores and does not back up your inventory.

The Black Box stores local run reports: run identifiers and times, game and system versions, device type, selected heroes and upgrades, and events such as distance, obstacles, fuel and coins. These help investigate issues and are not automatically sent to LostLevel.

Export opens the device share sheet. You decide whether and with whom to share the file; review its contents before sending it. After a completed export, the game removes the included reports from its local archive. Shared copies are subject to the controls of the destination you choose.

Leaderboards and score comparisons.

The game uses Apple’s Game Center for authentication, distance leaderboards and comparisons with friends’ records. While you are signed in, eligible distances are submitted to the leaderboard; pending submissions may be retried when the service is available. The game uses the player identifier supplied by Game Center to organize these submissions.

Your nickname, profile and scores may be visible to other players within Game Center features, subject to Apple’s settings and rules. Participating in the leaderboard involves sharing your score with that service.

Friend comparisons depend on Game Center permission. If you allow access, the game retrieves friends’ identifiers, display names and distance records to show the comparison. This information stays in memory; it does not create a friends database on LostLevel servers. Denying or restricting permission does not prevent you from playing or viewing your personal best.

In-app purchases.

Purchases are optional and processed by the App Store through StoreKit. Purchased upgrades are permanent, non-consumable items. Product details and prices appear before confirmation; Apple manages billing and payment information. LostLevel does not receive your card number or Apple Account password.

To verify purchases, unlock upgrades and recognize refunds or revocations, the game processes product and transaction identifiers, signing dates, transaction environment and validity status. Verified purchase entitlements are stored locally in the device’s secure storage (Keychain), allowing previously recognized upgrades to work offline. Product details may also be cached on your device.

You can use the game’s restore purchases option with the same Apple Account used to buy the items. Checking and restoring purchases require Apple’s services and an internet connection. Restoration covers purchased upgrades, not coins or heroes unlocked during runs.

Your choices.

  • Playing: runs work offline; purchases, restoration and online Game Center features need an internet connection.
  • Game Center: manage your account, profile visibility and friend access in Apple’s settings. Signing out makes online features unavailable, but you can keep playing.
  • Purchases: you decide whether to buy an upgrade. Apple’s Screen Time and purchase controls can help guardians restrict purchases on the device.
  • Reports and support: sending is manual and you choose which information to share.

The game does not display ads, use advertising networks, or use cross-app and cross-site tracking for advertising.

Retention and deletion.

Progress, preferences, the score queue and run reports remain on your device while needed for these features. Removing the app may erase progress and local files; avoid reinstalling it as your first troubleshooting step. Secure purchase records may remain in the Keychain, subject to system controls.

Removing the game or signing out of Game Center does not automatically erase scores, profiles or purchase history held by Apple. Use Apple’s privacy controls and channels for that information. For information sent to LostLevel, request access, correction or deletion at the email below; we will respond in accordance with applicable obligations.

Website, support and requests.

This website does not use analytics, ads, tracking cookies or external fonts. Language selection uses links. Hosting uses Amazon S3 in us-east-1 (United States) and Amazon CloudFront for global delivery. We have not enabled S3 or CloudFront access logs; AWS processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP addresses and request metadata.

When you email support, you share your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use Google Workspace to respond and investigate the issue. We retain correspondence as needed to respond, follow up and resolve the request, or meet applicable legal obligations. Please do not send passwords or card details.

Apple, AWS and Google may process information outside Brazil under their services and policies. For requests about information you sent us, email contato@lostlevel.com.br. Information held by Apple also follows that provider’s own procedures.
