How do I activate or restore a purchased upgrade?
Open Cow’s Store from the home screen. Tap a purchased upgrade to enable or disable it; a check mark means it is enabled. The game offers six optional permanent upgrades that are not consumed after each run.
- If a purchase is missing, connect to the internet and make sure the App Store is using the same Apple Account used for the purchase.
- Open Cow’s Store → Restore purchase and wait for confirmation.
- Enable the upgrades you want and start a new run.
If a purchase is awaiting approval, wait for Apple’s confirmation. For billing or refunds, visit Apple’s purchase support. If restoring does not resolve the issue, contact us.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Solo play works offline. Once a purchase has been verified, the game securely stores its status on your device so enabled upgrades can continue working without internet. Buying, restoring, submitting Game Center scores and playing co-op require a connection. On a new device or after reinstalling, you may need to restore purchases online before using them offline.
How do I play with someone else?
- Update Almighty Cow on both devices and sign in to Game Center in your iPhone or iPad Settings.
- Choose Two Players on the game’s home screen. Invite a friend or use partner matching to find another player in the queue.
- Choose your heroes in the lobby. The match starts when both players select Ready.
Matchmaking needs another available player in the queue. If a connection fails, check your internet connection and Game Center, then try a new invitation. If a version notice appears, update both games before trying again.
What is shared in co-op?
The team starts with five shared lives. Extra Life adds one life when at least one player has purchased and enabled it. Both players’ enabled permanent upgrades are combined: duplicate upgrades do not stack. During a match, a power-up belongs to the player who collects it; collected lives refill the team’s shared counter. For invitations, Insane Mode follows the inviting player’s setting.
How do controls and auto-fire work?
Touch and drag on the left side to move your hero. The joystick appears where your touch begins. Use the right button to fire. With Auto-fire enabled in Settings, firing is automatic and the fire button is hidden. Firing stops during pauses, transitions and other moments when your hero should not shoot. Pick one of the four heroes in Choose Character.
Why did my score not appear on the leaderboard?
The Game Center leaderboard accepts scores from normal solo mode. Co-op and Insane Mode runs do not submit leaderboard scores. Sign in to Game Center and use an internet connection to access the leaderboard.
The game closed unexpectedly or is not running smoothly
Check for a game update, restart the app and check your device’s available storage. If it happens again, contact support with the steps leading to the issue and the hero, map and mode you were using. Before reinstalling, remember that local preferences and high scores may be lost; eligible purchases can be restored through the App Store.
