Ten Hours Till Dark is developed and published by Thales Schmalz Toniolo, an independent developer operating under the publishing name Lost Level. This policy explains how information is handled when you play the game.
Information stored on your device
The game stores progress, checkpoints, settings, almanac discoveries, and gameplay reports locally on your device. Lost Level does not operate an account system or a server that receives this local game data. Versions with advertising preferences also store the selected age group, ad preference, guardian declaration where applicable, choice date and notice version on the device. We do not ask for a date of birth or identity document. Report export is manual: you choose whether to share a file and with whom. Deleting the app removes local data, subject to the operating system’s backup and restore settings.
Optional rewarded advertising
The game offers optional rewarded ads through Unity LevelPlay, with a Unity Ads integration. You choose whether to watch for the reward shown in the game; watching is not required to play the core game. LevelPlay is the mediation service that coordinates ad delivery.
Advertising services may process IP addresses, device and advertising identifiers, approximate location inferred from the network, device model and operating system, app version, and events such as ad loading, views, clicks and completion. This data helps deliver and measure ads, verify rewards, limit repetition and prevent fraud. Access to Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) depends on your iOS tracking authorization.
In versions that include the preferences screen, advertising starts only after an eligible age and ad choice. After that choice, services may connect and load ads before you decide to watch a video. Declining a rewarded ad therefore does not, by itself, mean that no technical data is processed. Earlier versions without that screen may initialize advertising without offering the same control; we recommend keeping the game updated. Lost Level does not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or messages during gameplay.
Your choices
In versions with advertising preferences, you can continue without ads and review or withdraw your choice in Settings → Privacy. Refusal keeps the core game available but disables the optional video and its reward. Withdrawal stops new ad requests from the game and discards prepared videos; it does not delete data already received by providers or retroactively shut down an initialized service. Some changes to age treatment require fully closing and reopening the app, as explained on screen.
You can decline a rewarded ad offer and continue playing. Choosing to watch for a reward is separate from authorizing tracking of your activity.
On iOS, the new preferences offer limited ads or optional personalization for people aged 18 or older only. Tracking authorization is separate: where applicable, the system displays the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, and you can change your response in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Denying authorization does not prevent gameplay; ads may still be available without access to the IDFA. This permission does not replace other consent that may be required in your region.
On Android, the game uses limited ads for all eligible ages, without personalization. Advertising identifier (AAID/AD_ID) access permission has been removed and the app sends the identifier opt-out to the SDK. This does not eliminate processing of the other technical advertising data described above.
Where available in a Unity ad, the privacy icon provides information and personalization controls. Those controls apply to the network delivering that ad. See the provider’s policy for the options applicable to your region and contact us if you need assistance.
Third-party services
The ads integration uses Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads. Unity and its advertising partners may receive data to deliver and measure ads; Unity’s privacy documentation describes its partners and their policies.
These services may process information in other countries. Partners retain data according to their purposes and obligations, as described in their policies. Uninstalling the game does not automatically delete data they have already processed.
Age and teenagers
Ten Hours Till Dark’s intended audience is aged 13 or older; store ratings may vary by region. In versions with an age selector, selecting under 13 or leaving age unspecified prevents advertising initialization.
For ages 13–17, the flow permits limited ads only after a local guardian declaration. The app sends the provider an age-restricted treatment signal; teenagers cannot select personalization. The declaration is stored on the device and does not verify the guardian’s identity. The store rating and this technical signal do not replace authorization or other legal requirements applicable in your region. Without appropriate authorization, continue without ads.
Requests and contact
For questions or requests to access, correct or delete data, or to learn about its processing, email contato@lostlevel.com.br. Because we do not operate player accounts, we may not hold information that can be matched to a particular player. We can help explain the request and Unity’s contact channels; data controlled by a partner may require a request through that provider’s procedures.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the game, its advertising partners, or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available at this address with a revised update date.
Website and support
This website does not use analytics, ads, tracking cookies or external fonts. Language selection uses links. Hosting uses Amazon S3 in us-east-1 (United States) and Amazon CloudFront for global delivery. We have not enabled S3 or CloudFront access logs; AWS processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP addresses and request metadata.
When you email support, you share your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use Google Workspace to respond and investigate the issue. We retain correspondence as needed to respond, follow up and resolve the request, or meet applicable legal obligations. Please do not send passwords or card details. These providers may process information outside Brazil. For requests to access, correct or delete information you sent us, email contato@lostlevel.com.br.
